Some advice on sharing the gospel from someone who’s not very good at sharing the gospel

Smile at people when you don’t feel like smiling, and be gently friendly even when they’re not (Proverbs 15:1)

Ask people questions to keep the conversation going, but if it’s obvious that they’re really not interested, don’t force them to keep chatting to you

Ask yourself questions: What does this person see as a virtue? How does the gospel display that virtue? (open-mindedness, love, pleasure, inclusivity, being scientific, etc) How does their way of understanding the world undercut what they think is good? (determinism, unguided evolutionary processes, no objective truth, etc)

Make sure you can share the basics of the gospel in one minute (think 1 Corinthians 15:3-5)

Remember that all authority in heaven and on earth doesn’t belong to the person you’re speaking to, or to you, but to King Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20)
